Isaiah 35 - Praying God's Word

Please read Isaiah 35.

Meditate on verse 4.

Say to those with anxious heart, “Take courage, fear not.  Behold, your God will

come with vengeance; the recompense of God will come, but He will save you.”

A day is coming when the wilderness and desert will have pools and springs of water and blossom profusely (vs. 1-2).  A road, the Highway of Holiness, will be there (v. 8).  There the redeemed will walk with everlasting joy radiating from their faces (vs. 9-10).

What a breath of fresh air in the midst of God’s day of vengeance!  The day of the LORD is a day of rejoicing for those who know Him.  If that day were today, whom do you know that would not be walking the Highway of Holiness?  Pray for them to ask Christ, the Living Water, to come and forever change their desert of a life (v. 1, 5; John 7:38).

Pray Isaiah 35:5-6 and 10 over those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, ________________ is spiritually blind, deaf,

lame, and mute.  Let Your waters

break forth in the wilderness of their life.

Open their eyes and unstop their ears.

Let them leap like a deer and shout for joy.

LORD, ransom them, so they will return to You

with joyful shouting.  May everlasting joy be upon

their heads.  Let them find gladness and joy.

Let sorrow and sighing flee away from them.

In Your name, Jesus~”
