Isaiah 13 - Praying God's Word

Please read Isaiah 13.

Meditate on verses 6, 9, and 13.

Wail, for the day of the LORD is near!

It will come as destruction from the

Almighty.  Behold, the day of the LORD is

coming, cruel, with fury and burning

anger, to make the land a desolation, and

He will exterminate its sinners from it.

Therefore, I will make the heavens tremble,

and the earth will be shaken from

its place at the fury of the LORD of hosts

in the day of His burning anger.

Let there be no doubt the day of the LORD is coming.  Let there be no doubt the day of the LORD will be horrific for those who do not know Jesus as Savior, for God promises to exterminate the sinners from the land (v. 9).  God describes His day of judgment as cruel, full of His fury and burning anger (vs. 9, 13).

Oh, how we need a Savior!  Thanks be to God we have a Savior through Jesus Christ our LORD!  Are you willing to share that Good News before Isaiah 13 is fulfilled?

Pray Isaiah 13:2-3 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, let __________ and me lift up Your

standard on the bare hill and raise our

voice to tell others about You.

Let us wave our hand that others may see to

enter the door of Your Kingdom.  LORD, command

us as Your consecrated ones.

Call us as Your mighty warriors.

We exult in Your Name, Jesus~”
