Daniel 7 - Praying God's Word

Please read Daniel 7.

Meditate on verse 13.

I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven

One like a Son of Man was coming, and He came up to the

Ancient of Days and was presented before Him.

As you continue praying Daniel, followed by Revelation, you have the privilege of reading descriptions of end time visions God gave Daniel and John.  Keep your focus on the main character in both books.  Some of His names are: Ancient of Days, Highest One, King of Kings, and LORD of LORDS (vs. 13, 27; Revelation 19:16).  He controls the events described in both books, so there is no need to fear the future.

Bible scholars differ on which kingdoms are represented by the four great beasts in the Daniel 7 vision.  We believe the kingdoms parallel the four kingdoms represented in Nebuchadnezzar’s statue vision: Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome (Daniel 2).  The Precept upon Precept Bible studies of Daniel and Revelation are excellent for learning more.1

For now, fix your eyes on Jesus and pray Daniel 7:13-14 and 27 as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7),

“Jesus, Son of Man, dominion, glory, and a kingdom has been given to You

by the Ancient of Days, that all the peoples, nations, and people of every language

might serve You.  Your dominion is an everlasting dominion which will not pass

away, and Your kingdom is one which will not be destroyed.  I look forward to the

day when the sovereignty, the dominion, and the greatness of all the kingdoms

under the whole heaven will be given to Your people, the saints of the Highest One.

Your kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all the dominions will serve and obey You.  Let __________ become Your saint before it is too late.

In Your name, Highest One, Jesus~”
