Ezekiel 38 - Praying God's Word

Please read Ezekiel 38.

Meditate on verse 18.

“It will come about on that day, when

Gog comes against the land of Israel,"

declares the LORD GOD, "that My

fury will mount up in My anger.”

In the last days, God uses Gog to bring an army from many nations against Israel, showing His majesty to the nations of the world (vs. 14-16).  Picture the battle.  Gog’s army arrives, and the LORD’s fury mounts up (v. 18).  In His zeal and blazing wrath, there is a great earthquake in the land of Israel (v. 19).  The fish, birds, beasts, all creeping things, and all humans on the face of the earth shake at God’s presence (v. 20).  Mountains are thrown down; pathways collapse, and every wall falls to the ground (v. 20).  The LORD casts His sword against Gog and judges him with blood and pestilence, raining down hail, fire, and brimstone on Gog and his troops (vs. 21-22).  In all of this God magnifies Himself, shows Himself holy, and makes Himself known to the nations, so they know without a doubt, He is the LORD (vs. 22-23).

A day is coming when everyone will know God is the LORD.  Pray for God to magnify Himself in your life and the lives of those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7), using the words from Ezekiel 38:23.

“LORD, You will magnify Yourself, sanctify

Yourself, and make Yourself

known in the sight of many nations,

and they will know that You are the LORD.

LORD, magnify Yourself, sanctify Yourself, and

make Yourself known in ___________ and me.

Let us never forget that You are the LORD.

In Your name, LORD Jesus~”
