Please read Daniel 6.

Meditate on verse 16b.
Your God whom you constantly
serve will Himself deliver you.
Approximately 66 years passed between Daniel 1 and 6. This familiar story of Daniel and the lions’ den happened when Daniel was in his 80’s; he faithfully served in government jobs his entire adult life. Working for pagan bosses in a land that was not his home, Daniel did not compromise His Godly values. He was so faithful the only thing he could be found guilty of was being faithful (v. 5).
This chapter contains many of Daniel’s Godly characteristics. Treasure hunt the chapter for qualities you want the LORD to make permanent in your life and the lives of those you love.
Pray Daniel 6:3-4, 10, 16, 23, and 26-28 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“LORD, help ___________ and me distinguish ourselves
because we possess Your extraordinary Spirit.
Make us faithful; let no negligence or
corruption be found in us. No matter
what happens keep us kneeling,
praying, and giving thanks before You, God.
God, may we constantly serve You! God deliver
us from evil. Let no injury be found on us
because we trust in You, God.
Let everyone fear and tremble before
You, God, for You are the living God, enduring
forever. Your kingdom is one which will
not be destroyed, and Your dominion will be forever.
You deliver and rescue and perform signs
and wonders in heaven and on earth.
You have also delivered ___________ from
the power of __________. Please let us enjoy success.
In Your name, Jesus~”
