Psalm 146 - Praying God's Word

Please read Psalm 146.

Meditate on verse 5.

How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob;
whose hope is in the LORD his God.

The psalmist knew he should trust in the LORD instead of trusting in people to save him (v. 3). As he recalled who God is, his confidence grew strong in Him.
Pray Psalm 146 and let the words increase your confidence in God as you trust Him more and more as His faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“Praise the LORD!  Praise the LORD, O my soul!
I praise You, LORD, while I live;
 I sing praises to You, my God, while I have my being.
I do not trust in princes, in mortal
 man, in whom there is no salvation.
His spirit departs; he returns to the earth;
 in that very day his thoughts perish.
How blessed are _________ and I whose
 help is You, the God of Jacob;
 our hope is in You, LORD our God!
You made heaven and earth, the sea
 and all that is in them.  You keep faith forever;
 You execute justice for the oppressed;
You give food to the hungry.
LORD, You set prisoners free.
LORD, You open the eyes of the blind.
LORD, You raise up those who are bowed down.
LORD, You love the righteous.
 LORD, You protect the sojourners.
You support the fatherless and the widow,
but You thwart the way of the wicked.
 LORD, You will reign forever to all generations.
Praise the LORD!”
