Please read Psalm 129.

Meditate on verse 2.
Many times they have persecuted me from my youth up,
yet they have not prevailed against me.
Be
mindful as you ascend, there will still be times of persecution. Don’t be
surprised when they come and be armed with God’s Word and prayer when they do.
The
psalmist put well into words how persecution feels—“The plowers plowed upon my
back” (v. 3). Ouch!
And, he stated
truth about God to remember in the midst
of persecution— “The LORD is righteous; He has cut in two the cords of the wicked” (v. 4).
The
psalmist also prayed a powerful prayer against his persecutors. Keep this psalm
in your arsenal of prayers for times you need it as a faithful, prayerful
watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
Pray
Psalm 129 for the sake of yourself and those you love as a faithful, prayerful
watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“LORD, many times they have
persecuted ________ and me from
our youth up,
yet they have not prevailed against us.
The plowers plowed upon our
backs;
they lengthened their
furrows.
LORD, You are righteous;
You have cut in two the cords of the wicked.
May all who hate Zion and who hate us
be put to shame and turned
backward.
Let them be like grass upon the
housetops,
which withers before it grows up;
with which the reaper does not fill his hand,
or the binder of sheaves his
bosom;
nor do those who pass by say,
‘The blessing of the LORD be upon you;
we bless you in the name of the LORD.’
LORD, please do not let us persecute others;
please let Your blessing be upon
us.
For the sake of Your name, Jesus~”
