Psalm 144 - Praying God's Word

Please read Psalm 144.

Meditate on verse 1a.

Blessed be the LORD, my Rock.

David had such a personal relationship with the LORD that he knew God as:

·      my Rock
·      my Lovingkindness
·      my Fortress
·      my Stronghold
·      my Deliverer
·      my Shield

How do you know the LORD?  Continue the list from Psalm 144 with your own, saying, “God, You are:

·      my __________________
·      my __________________
·      my __________________…

Continue talking to the LORD your God with the words from Psalm 144:1-2 and 12-15 as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, my Rock, my Lovingkindness,

my Fortress, my Stronghold,

my Deliverer, my Shield, my Refuge,

 let our sons in their youth be as grown-up plants

 and our daughters as corner pillars

fashioned as for a palace. Let our garners be full,

furnishing every kind of produce,

  and our flocks bring forth thousands

 and ten-thousands in our fields;

 let our cattle bear without mishap and without loss.

Let there be no outcry in our streets!

 How blessed are the people who are so situated;

 how blessed are the people whose God is the LORD!

Please make us Your blessed people!
In Your name, Jesus~”
