Psalm 142 - Praying God's Word

Please read Psalm 142.

Meditate on verses 1-2.

I cry aloud with my voice to the LORD;
I make supplication with my voice to the LORD.
I pour out my complaints before Him;
 I declare my trouble before Him.

Ponder the privilege you have to cry out, literally, to shriek in anguish to the God of the universe. You have the precious opportunity to beseech your Creator for His favor on you and your loved ones. He will not strike you dead for pouring out your complaints to Him and telling Him all your troubles; on the contrary, He desires a relationship with you where you have the intimate freedom to tell Him everything. Amazing!
Cry aloud to God with Psalm 142 as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

 “I cry aloud with my voice to You, LORD;
 I make supplication with my voice to You, LORD.
 I pour out my complaint before You;
I declare my trouble to You.
My spirit is overwhelmed within me;
You know my path.  In the way where I walk,
 they have hidden a trap for ________ and me.
LORD, look to the right and see,
for there is no one who regards us.
There is no escape for us; no one cares for our souls.
LORD, please regard us and provide a way of escape
 because You care for our souls.
I cry out to You, O LORD!  You are our refuge,
our portion in the land of the living.
Give heed to my cry, for we are brought very low;
 deliver us from our persecutors,
for they are too strong for us.
Bring our souls out of prison,
 so that we may give thanks to Your name.
 The righteous will surround us,
 for You will deal bountifully with us.
For the sake of Your name, Jesus~”
