Meditate on and memorize verse 57.
The LORD is my portion; I have promised to keep Your Words.
The LORD is more than enough to meet all the needs of your life. His Word will sustain you. He gives you the privilege to seek Him with all your heart; He gives you grace and favor.
Ponder the truths from this eighth stanza of Psalm 119. Ponder your ways. What in your life needs to turn to the LORD’s testimonies instead of the world’s? Ask the Holy Spirit to convict you of sin and do not delay to keep His commandments. Choose to surround yourself with people who fear God and keep His precepts.
The earth is full of the LORD’s lovingkindness. Look for it today as you pray Psalm 119:57-64 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“LORD, You are _______ and my portion;
we promise to keep Your Words.
We seek Your favor with all our heart;
please be gracious to us according to Your Word.
Help us consider our ways and turn our feet to Your testimonies.
Help us hasten and not delay to keep Your commandments.
When the cords of the wicked encircle us,
do not let us forget Your law.
At midnight we shall rise to give thanks to You
because of Your righteous ordinances.
Let us be a companion of all those who fear You
and those who keep Your precepts.
The earth is full of Your lovingkindness, O LORD;
teach us Your statutes.
In Your name, Jesus~”
