Psalm 119:169-176 - Praying God's Word

Please read Psalm 119:169-176.

Meditate on and memorize verse 175.

Let my soul live that it may praise You,
 and let Your ordinances help me.

For the past 22 days, you read the words of a psalmist who adored God’s Word.  He desired God’s precepts to govern him to keep from sinning and to walk in God’s ways.  He knew to meet that goal he must know God’s Word, meditate on God’s Word, and keep God’s Word.

We hope that taking a slow walk through this psalm gave you time to really think about what God says to you about the importance of His Word in your life.  We pray you long for the Word of the LORD and its governance of your life.

Pray Psalm 119:169-176 over yourself and those you love as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“Let my cry come before You, O LORD; give _______ and me
 understanding according to Your Word.  Let our supplications
 come before You; deliver us according to Your word.
Let our lips utter praise, for You teach us Your statutes.
 Let our tongues sing of Your Word, for all Your commandments
are righteousness.  Let Your hand be ready to help us, for
we have chosen Your precepts.  We long for Your salvation, O LORD, and
 Your law is our delight.  Let our souls live to praise You, and let
Your ordinances help us.  Please, do not let us go astray like lost sheep;
 seek us, Your servants; do not let us forget Your commandments.
For Your name’s sake, Jesus~”
