Psalm 115 - Praying God's Word

Please read Psalm 115.

Meditate on verse 1.

Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to Your name give glory
because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your truth.

This psalm is rich with verses to ponder and pray.
The LORD, the Maker of the heavens and the earth, is the living God. Unlike idols, He sees, hears, smells, feels, and walks (vs. 5-7). He is our God, and He does whatever He pleases (v. 3). He alone is worthy of all our trust, fear, and praise (v. 11). He helps, shields, and blesses those who fear Him (vs. 11, 13). But, those whose god is an idol become like that which they worship—mute, blind, deaf, unfeeling, immobile, and dead (vs. 4-8, 17). Those of us alive in the LORD, however, will bless Him from this time forth and forever (v. 18). Praise the LORD!
Pray Psalm 115:1, 11-15, and 18 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to Your name give glory
because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your truth.
May __________ and I fear only You and trust only You.
Be our help and our shield.
Be mindful of us and bless us as we fear You, LORD.
Please give us, and our children, increase.
LORD, Maker of heaven and earth, please bless us.
We will bless You, LORD, from this
time forth and forever.  Praise the LORD!”
