Please read Psalm 116.

Meditate on verse 1.

I love the LORD because He hears
 my voice and my supplications.

Have you ever agonized in prayer for a long time over someone or something in which you desperately wanted God to do the miraculous? This psalm is a great one to cling to when you are in the midst of beseeching prayers and when you are praising the LORD for hearing and answering your cries.
Pray Psalm 116 now as His faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“I love You, LORD, because You hear my voice
and my supplications.  Because You incline Your ear to me,
I shall call upon You as long as I live.
The cords of death encompassed me, and the terrors of Sheol
came upon me; I found distress and sorrow.
Then I called upon Your name, LORD:
‘O LORD, I beseech You, save my life!’
LORD, You are gracious and righteous; You are compassionate.
You preserve the simple; I was brought low, and You saved me.
My soul is at rest because You have dealt bountifully with me, LORD.
You rescued my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.
I will walk before You, LORD, in the land of the living.
Thank You for saving me from my affliction and the lies of men.
Because of all Your benefits toward me, I will lift up the cup of salvation
and call upon Your name, LORD.  I will pay my vows to You, LORD;
may it be in the presence of all Your people.
Precious in Your sight is the death of Your Godly ones.
O LORD, surely I am Your servant; I am Your servant,
the child of Your handmaid; You have loosed my bonds.
To You, I shall offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving
and call upon Your name.  I shall pay my vows to You, LORD.
Oh may it be in the presence of all Your people,
in the courts of Your house, LORD.
Praise the LORD!”
