1 Chronicles 5 - Praying God's Word

Please read 1 Chronicles 5.

Meditate on verses 20b and 22a.

They cried out to God in the battle, and He

 answered their prayers because

they trusted in Him.  For many fell

slain, because the war was of God.

There were 44,760 valiant warriors from the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Manasseh, who needed God to fight their battle in order to win the war (vs. 18-22).  These men, skilled with sword and bow, trusted Almighty God, crying out to Him.  Miraculously, God answered their prayers.

What an encouraging story in the middle of a genealogy!  God answers the prayers of those who trust Him.

So, this is your story.  You are praying verses from Scripture because you are a warrior, a valiant prayer warrior on the wall for the sake of those you love.  And, now you have another prayer for your arsenal.  Cry out to God with 1 Chronicles 5:20 and 22 as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD God, I am crying out to You

in the midst of this battle for ______________.

I trust in You; please answer my prayers!

This war is of You, God!

For the sake of Your name, Jesus~”
