Meditate on verse 11.
Seek the LORD and His strength;
seek His face continually.
The ark of God represented God’s presence, and in His presence, the Levites ministered by celebrating, thanking, and praising Him (v. 4). Ask the LORD to give you a joyful, grateful heart to serve in His presence.
Celebrate, thank, and praise the LORD with 1 Chronicles 16:8-12, 23-29, 31, and 34-36 as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“Oh, thank You, LORD, I call upon Your name and
make known Your deeds among the peoples.
I sing to You, sing praises to You, and speak of
all Your wonders. I glory in Your holy name.
Let the heart of __________, who seeks You, be glad.
We seek You and Your strength. We seek Your
face continually. We remember Your wonderful
deeds which You have done, Your marvels and the
judgments from Your mouth. Let all the earth sing
to You, LORD! We proclaim good tidings of Your
salvation from day to day. We tell of Your glory
among the nations, Your wonderful deeds among
all the peoples. For great are You, LORD, and greatly
to be praised; You also are to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but LORD,
You made the heavens. Splendor and majesty
are before You; strength and joy are in Your place.
Glory and strength belong to You, LORD. We give
glory to Your name and worship You. LORD, You reign!
We give thanks to You, LORD, for You are good; for Your
lovingkindness is everlasting. Save us, O God of
our salvation, and gather us and deliver us to give
thanks to Your holy name and glory in Your praise.
Blessed be You, LORD, the God of Israel and the God
of my family, from everlasting, even to everlasting. Amen.”
