Ezekiel 40 - Praying God's Word

Please read Ezekiel 40.

Meditate on verse 4.

The man said to me, "Son of man, see with
your eyes, hear with your ears, and give attention
to all that I am going to show you; for you have
been brought here in order to show it to you.
Declare to the house of Israel all that you see."

Picture Ezekiel’s situation. He had lived in Babylon as an exile for 25 years. By now, Jerusalem and the temple were totally destroyed. The last heartbreaking vision Ezekiel had of the temple was God’s glory departing from it (Ezekiel 10:18). Now, 19 years later, God gives Ezekiel this glorious vision of His beautifully rebuilt temple. Can you imagine the hope this brought to the exiles in Babylon as Ezekiel described it to them in all the minute details you had the privilege of reading from this chapter?
Let God’s Word bring you hope for heartbreaking situations over which you are praying. As you focus on Christ and His Word for the sake of those you love, ask God to show you minute details of what He will do in their lives. When the LORD gives you the vision, write it down and pray for God to bring it to fruition (Habakkuk 2:2-3).
Pray Ezekiel 40:4 over yourself to see clearly God’s will for your family.

“LORD, please let me see with my eyes, hear with my ears,
and give attention to all that You are going to show me,
for You have brought me here in order to show it to me.
Help me declare to __________ all that I see.
For the sake of Your will, Jesus~”
