Ezekiel 36 - Praying God's Word

Please read Ezekiel 36.

Meditate on verse 23.

"I will vindicate the holiness of My great
 name which has been profaned
among the nations, which you have
profaned in their midst. Then the nations will know that I
am the LORD," declares the LORD GOD,
"when I prove Myself holy among you in their sight.”

God prophesied to the mountains of Israel, promising to rebuild the land made desolate by sin. After speaking about the land, the LORD addressed the people, explaining what He would do for the sake of His great name. The LORD would sprinkle clean water on them to cleanse them from all their filthiness (v. 25). He promised to remove their old hard hearts and give them new ones (v. 26). He would put His Spirit within them and cause them to walk in His ways (v. 27). It is incredible what the LORD does for His name’s sake!
As God’s Word and His Spirit touch your heart, let Him sprinkle clean water on you, washing away all your sins. Ask Him to give you His heart to replace your old hard one. Be filled with His Spirit and walk in His ways—for the sake of His great name.
Pray Ezekiel 36:9 and 25-27 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, please be for __________ and me, and turn to us,
and cultivate our lives, and sow into us!
Sprinkle clean water on us, so we will be clean.  Cleanse us from all our filthiness and from all our idols.  Give us a new heart and
put a new spirit within us; remove the heart of stone
from our flesh and give us a heart of flesh.
Put Your Spirit within us and cause us to walk in Your statutes
and be careful to observe Your ordinances.
For the sake of Your great name, LORD Jesus~”
