Meditate on verse 23.
"I will magnify Myself, sanctify Myself, and
make Myself known in the sight of many nations,
and they will know that I am the LORD."
In the last days, God will use Gog to bring an army from many nations against Israel to show Himself majestic to His people and the nations of the world (vs. 14-16). Picture the battle. When Gog’s army arrives, the LORD’s fury mounts up, and in His zeal and blazing wrath, there is a great earthquake in the land of Israel (vs. 18-19). The fish, birds, beasts, all creeping things, and all humans on the face of the earth shake at God’s presence (v. 20). The LORD casts His sword against Gog; He judges him with pestilence and blood (v. 22). God rains down on Gog and his troops with hail, fire, and brimstone (v. 22). The result is: God magnifies Himself, shows Himself holy, and makes Himself known in the sight of the nations, so they know without a doubt, He is the LORD (v. 23).
Let the words of this chapter seal this truth in your heart: It is all about God. It is only about God; it is not about you or me. The LORD works for His renown; let your life be lived for that purpose.
Pray Ezekiel 38:23 as a prayer of dedication to the LORD.
“LORD, You will magnify Yourself, sanctify Yourself,
and make Yourself known in the sight of many nations,
and they will know that You are the LORD.
LORD, magnify Yourself, sanctify Yourself,
and make Yourself known in ___________ and me.
Let us never forget that You are the LORD.
In Your name, LORD Jesus~”
