Please read John 8.

Meditate on verse 31.
So Jesus was saying to those
Jews who had believed Him,
“If you continue in My Word, then
you are truly disciples of Mine.”
John 8 contains an interesting discussion between Jesus and some Jews who had believed Him. Jesus challenged their belief by demanding proof that they were really His followers. The proof was in the abiding; true disciples of Jesus Christ abide in His Word.
Of course, Jesus knew the heart of those who said they believed; He told them their father was the devil, and God’s Word had no place in them; they did not have ears to hear His Word (vs. 37, 43-44).
What would Jesus say to you? Have you said you believe in Jesus, yet you abide in the world instead Christ and His Word? Ask the LORD to convict you of sin and give you an abiding faith that remains eternally in Him.
Pray John 8:31-32 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“LORD, may __________ and I continue in Your Word.
Make us truly disciples of Yours.
Let us know the Truth, and let the Truth make us free.
Because You are the Truth, LORD Jesus~”
