Proverbs 9 - Praying God's Word

Please read Proverbs 9.

Meditate on verse 10.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Pray Proverbs 9 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, let _______ and me live in
 the house of Your wisdom.
 Do not let us be naïve and lack understanding.
Let us eat and drink Your wisdom.
Let us forsake our folly and live;
 let us proceed in the way of understanding.
Do not let us correct a scoffer, who will bring us dishonor.
Do not let us reprove the wicked who insult us.
 Do not let us reprove a scoffer who hates us.
 Let us reprove a wise man who will love us.
Make us the wise man who
accepts instruction to be still wiser.
 Make us righteous.
Make us teachable and increase our learning.
Let us fear You, LORD, for that
 is the beginning of wisdom.
Let us know You, Holy One,
 for that is understanding.
Let Your wisdom and understanding multiply
our days, adding years of life to us.
 Keep us from a boisterous woman of
 folly who is naïve and knows nothing.
Do not let us turn aside to her;
keep our paths straight.
Do not let us be naïve, lacking understanding.
Do not let us go into her house of the dead,
 into the depths of Sheol.
LORD, we want to remain in
Your house of wisdom and life.
In Your name, Jesus~”
