Please read Proverbs 20.

Meditate on verse 7.

A righteous man who walks in his integrity—
how blessed are his sons after him.

Pray Proverbs 20 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, make _______ and me wise.
 Do not let us be intoxicated with wine and strong drink;
 we do not want to be mockers and brawlers.
 Do not let us provoke our leaders to anger.
 Keep us away from strife; do not let us be quarreling fools.
 Do not let us be sluggards.
Make us people of understanding who can
 help others draw out the plans You put in their hearts.
 Make us trustworthy.
Make us righteous people who walk in integrity;
 may our children be blessed.
 Make our leaders just, able to disperse
 all evil with just the look in their eyes.
 Jesus, only You can cleanse our
 hearts and purify us from sin!
 Do not let us be abominable to You
by using differing weights and measures.
 Let our children distinguish themselves by their deeds;
keep their conduct pure and right.
 LORD, You made our hearing ears and seeing eyes;
 open our eyes and let us be satisfied with Your provision.
 Give us lips of knowledge that are
 more precious than gold and jewels.
 Do not let us obtain bread by falsehood,
for it will fill our mouths with gravel.
 Help us to prepare plans by consultation
and make war by wise guidance.
 Do not let us be secret revealing slanderers;
 do not let us associate with gossips.
 Do not let us curse our father or mother;
 we do not want our lamp to go out in times of darkness.
 Do not let us repay evil; we will wait for You, LORD;
 You will save us.  LORD, ordain our steps;
 help us to understand the way You have for us.
 Keep us from rash vows; keep us from rashly calling something
 or someone holy when they are not.
Make our leaders wise; may they winnow the wicked.
 May our spirits be Your lamp, LORD;
search the innermost parts of our being.
  May loyalty and truth preserve our leaders;
 may they uphold their positions by righteousness.
Let the glory of our young men be their strength in You,
 and as we grow old, let our gray hair bring us honor.
Scour away evil from our innermost parts.
For the sake of Your name, Jesus~”
