Meditate on verse 9.
The way of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD,
but He loves one who pursues righteousness.
Pray Proverbs 15 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“LORD, help _________ and me give gentle answers that turn away wrath,
instead of harsh words that stir up anger.
Give us wise tongues that make knowledge acceptable.
Your eyes are in every place, watching the evil and the good.
Give us soothing tongues that are a tree of life;
let there be no perversion in our tongues which crush the spirit.
Do not let _______ be a fool who rejects his father’s discipline;
make him sensible; let him regard reproof.
Let there be great wealth in our righteous house.
Give us wise lips that spread knowledge; do not let us have hearts of fools.
Make us upright and let our prayers be Your delight.
LORD, You love those who pursue righteousness;
may we always pursue Your righteousness.
Give us joyful hearts that make our faces cheerful.
Give us intelligent minds that seek knowledge.
Give us cheerful hearts with a continual feast.
Better is a little with the fear of You, LORD,
than great treasure and turmoil with it.
Better is a dish of vegetables where love is
than a fattened ox served with hatred.
Do not let us be hot-tempered stirring up strife;
let us be slow to anger, calming a dispute.
The path of the upright is a highway; keep us on that path!
Make ________ a wise son, who makes his father glad;
do not let him be foolish, despising his mother.
Make us people of understanding who walk straight.
Send us the counselors we need to make our plans succeed.
Give us joy in an apt answer and let us delight in a timely word.
Keep us on the path of life, leading upward for the wise;
let it keep us from Sheol below.
LORD, You will tear down the house of the proud;
do not let us be proud!
Establish the boundary for the widow, LORD, please protect her.
Evil plans are an abomination to You;
let our plans be made with pure, pleasant words.
Let us hate bribes. Give us righteous hearts which ponder how to answer;
remove all wickedness from our mouths which pours out evil things.
LORD, You are far from the wicked;
make us righteous, so You will hear our prayers.
Give us ears to listen to a life-giving reproof, so we can dwell among the wise.
Let us listen to reproof and gain understanding.
The fear of You is the instruction for wisdom,
and before honor comes humility.
Keep us humbly fearing You.
In Your name, Jesus~”
