Please read Proverbs 19.

Meditate on verse 21.

Many plans are in a man’s heart,
but the counsel of the LORD will stand.

Pray Proverbs 19 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, let _________ and me walk in integrity;
 let us not be fools with perverse speech.
Give us Your knowledge.
 Do not let us err because of hurrying footsteps.
 A man’s foolishness ruins his way.
LORD, please let us never be that person;
 let our hearts never rage against You!
  Make us truthful witnesses; help us not to tell lies.
 LORD, give us Your wisdom and let
 us keep understanding, so we can find good.
 Let us never be a false witness;
 keep us from telling lies, so we will not perish.
 Give us discretion to be slow to anger;
may it be our glory to overlook a transgression.
Keep us from the wrath of those who rule over us;
 let their favor be on us like dew on the grass.
Do not let our children be foolish, bringing us destruction.
 Do not let _______ be a contentious wife
who is like a constant dripping;
 make her a prudent wife, a gift from the LORD.
 Do not let laziness cast us into a deep sleep;
 do not let us be idle.
 Let us keep Your commandments and keep our souls.
 Do not let us be careless in conduct;
 do not let us die because of careless conduct.
Help us to be gracious to a poor man,
 for that is lending to You, LORD,
 and You will repay us for our good deed.
Help us to discipline our children while there is hope
 for we do not desire their deaths.
 Do not let us be people of great anger.
 Let us listen to counsel and accept discipline,
so we may be wise the rest of our days.
LORD, we have many plans in our hearts;
 thank You that Your counsel will stand.
 Let Your kindness be evident in us.
  Let us fear You, LORD, for it will lead to life,
 and we will sleep satisfied, untouched by evil.
 Do not let us be sluggards.
 Make us people of understanding, gaining knowledge when reproved.
 Keep our children from being shameful and disgraceful;
 let them never assault us nor drive us away!
Let them never cease listening to discipline;
 let them never stray from the words of knowledge.
 Do not let us be rascally witnesses who make a mockery of justice.
 Do not let us have wicked mouths that spread iniquity.
Do not let us be scoffers and fools.
Because of Your name, Jesus~”
