Zephaniah 3 - Praying God's Word

Please read Zephaniah 3.

Meditate on verses 8-9.

"Therefore, wait for Me," declares the

LORD, "For the day when I rise up

as a witness.  Indeed, My decision is to

 gather nations, to assemble kingdoms,

to pour out on them My indignation, all

My burning anger; for all the earth will

be devoured by the fire of My zeal.  For then

I will give to the peoples purified lips,

that all of them may call on the name of the

LORD, to serve Him shoulder to shoulder.”

For those who do not know Jesus, the Day of the LORD will be horrific, for God will pour out His wrath on a Christ-rejecting world.  But, for those who know Him as LORD and Savior, it will be a glorious day, a day of joy when God will:

·      take away His judgments against you

·      clear away your enemies

·      be in your midst as LORD and King

·      remove your fear of disaster (v. 15).

What does the day of the LORD hold for you and those you love?  Pray for those who do not know Jesus to believe in Him before it is too late.  Teach them what you have learned about the day of the LORD.

Pray Zephaniah 3:16-17 as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, in that day, let it be said to ____________ and me,

‘Do not be afraid; do not let your hands fall limp.

The LORD your God is in your midst, a victorious warrior.

He will exult over you with joy.  He will quiet you in His love.

He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.’

Thank You, in Your name, Jesus~”
