Please read Nahum 2.

Meditate on verse 13.
"Behold, I am against you," declares the
LORD of hosts. "I will burn up her
chariots in smoke, a sword will devour
your young lions; I will cut off your
prey from the land, and no longer will
the voice of your messengers be heard."
God prophesied through Nahum concerning Nineveh, the capital of Assyria (Nahum 1:1). Jonah spoke God’s Word to the people of Nineveh 100 years earlier (Jonah 1:1-2). That generation of Ninevites heeded God’s Word and turned from their wicked way (Jonah 3). Now, a new generation spurned God’s Word and arrogantly believed they were impregnable and undefeatable. God had other plans.
“In 612 BC, the city of Nineveh was sacked and burned by the allied forces of the Persians, Medes, Babylonians, and others who then divided the region between them. The area was sparsely populated thereafter, and slowly, the ancient ruins became buried in earth” (Nineveh – Ancient History Encyclopedia).1 History backs-up what God says in the Bible.
“Behold, I am against you,” declares the LORD of hosts (v. 13a). What scary words to hear from the Commander in Chief over all the armies in heaven!2 Thankfully, the opposite is true for Christians:
If God is for us, who is against us?
—Romans 8:31b
As a faithful prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7), use the words from Nahum 2:13 to pray for those who need to stop fighting against God, so God will not be against them.
“LORD, please let ___________ turn to You, so
You will no longer be against them.
Please let them hear the voice of Your
messengers before it is too late.
For the sake of Your name, Jesus~”
