2 Chronicles 6 - Praying God's Word

Please read 2 Chronicles 6.

Meditate on verse 19.

Yet have regard to the prayer of Your servant

and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to

listen to the cry and to the prayer which

 Your servant prays before You.

Thankfully, Solomon’s prayer of dedication of God’s temple is recorded in 2 Chronicles 6.  It is a prayer of adoration, confession, and supplication—a great prayer to keep in your arsenal.  Pray 2 Chronicles 6:14, 19, 24-27, 29-31, 33, and 42 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“O LORD, the God of ____________ and me, there

is no god like You in heaven or on earth, keeping covenant

and showing lovingkindness to Your servants who

walk before You with all their heart.  Please

have regard to the prayer of Your servant and to my

supplication, O LORD my God, to listen to the cry

and the prayer which Your servant prays before You.

When Your people are defeated before an enemy because

we have sinned against You, and we return to You and confess

Your name and pray and make supplication before You, then

hear from heaven and forgive the sin of Your people and bring

us back.  I have sinned against You.  LORD, I confess

Your name and turn from my sin.  Please hear from heaven

and forgive my sin.  Teach me the good way in which

I should walk.  LORD, You know the pain of _________.

Let them spread their hands toward You; then, hear

from heaven and forgive and render to them according

to all their ways, whose heart You know, for You

alone know the hearts of people.  Let us fear You to walk

in Your ways as long as we live.  LORD, please let all

the people of the earth know Your name.  O, LORD

 God, remember Your lovingkindness.

For the sake of Your name, Jesus~”
