2 Chronicles 5 - Praying God's Word

Please read 2 Chronicles 5.

Meditate on verse 14b.

The glory of the LORD filled the house of God.

Imagine how thrilling that day was when the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD!  Even more thrilling is the fact that as a Christian you are now the house of the LORD, and the Spirit—the Glory of the LORD—fills you (1 Corinthians 3:16)!  Live with that truth governing you:

Or do you not know that your body is

a temple of the Holy Spirit who is

in you, whom you have from God, and

that you are not your own?  For you

have been bought with a price; therefore,

glorify God in your body.  But we all, with unveiled face,

beholding as in a mirror the glory of the LORD, are being

transformed into the same image from

glory to glory, just as from the LORD, the

Spirit.  God has chosen you from the

 beginning for salvation through sanctification

by the Spirit and faith in the truth.  It was for

this He called you through our gospel, that you

may gain the glory of our LORD Jesus Christ.

—1 Corinthians 6:19-20; 2 Corinthians 3:18;

2 Thessalonians 2:13b-14

Glory!  In praise and commitment for all the LORD has done for you, glorify Him with 2 Chronicles 5:13-14 as a His faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, I praise and glorify You!  You indeed are

good, for Your lovingkindness is everlasting.  LORD, let

me stand and minister for You because Your glory fills me.

By Your Spirit, Jesus~”
