1 Chronicles 22 - Praying God's Word

Please read 1 Chronicles 22.

Meditate on verse 13b.

Be strong and courageous; do

 not fear or be dismayed.

When David saw the LORD had accepted his sacrifice and answered him on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite, he began making preparations for his son Solomon to build the temple on that location (1 Chronicles 21:28; 22:1-6).  Realizing Solomon needed much strength and help from God for such a daunting task, David spoke encouraging words over his son.  Pray those words from 1 Chronicles 22:11-13 and 18-19 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, please be with __________ and me that

we may be successful and build Your church

just as You have spoken.  LORD, give us discretion

and understanding and give us charge over those

You place in our care, so that we may

keep Your law, LORD our God.  Let us prosper

as we carefully observe Your statutes and ordinances.

Make us strong and courageous; do not let us

fear nor be dismayed.  LORD God, You are

with us.  Give us rest on every side.  Give the

inhabitants of the land into our hand.  Subdue the

land  before You and before Your people.  Now, may

we set our heart and our soul to seek You, LORD our God.

Let us arise and build for the sake of Your Kingdom.

In Your name, Jesus~”
