Psalm 113 - Praying God's Word

Please read Psalm 113.

Meditate on verse 1.

Praise the LORD!  Praise, O servants of the
LORD, praise the name of the LORD.
As a servant of the LORD, one of your sacred duties is to praise Him all day long, blessing and adoring His name forever (vs. 1-3).

Here are a few of the reasons why:

·      The LORD is high above all nations, and His glory is above the heavens (v. 4).
·      No one else is like the Him who is enthroned on high (v. 5).
·      He humbles Himself to observe what is happening in heaven and on earth (6).
·      He raises up the poor and needy to sit with the princes of His people (vs. 7, 8).
·      He makes the barren woman abide in the house as a joyful mother of children (v. 9).

Pray Psalm 113 as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“Praise the LORD!  As Your servant, I will praise Your name, LORD.
I will bless Your name from this time forth and forever.
I will praise Your name from the rising of the sun to its setting.
LORD, You are high above all nations; Your glory is above the heavens.
No one is like You, LORD our God, who is enthroned on high.
Thank You for humbling Yourself to behold the things that are in heaven and in the earth.  Please raise __________ up from the dust and lift them from the ash heap.
They are poor, and they need You!  Please let them sit with the princes of Your people.  LORD, please have mercy on __________; let her abide in the house
as a joyful mother of children.
Praise the LORD!”
