Psalm 110 - Praying God's Word

Please read Psalm 110.

Meditate on verse 1.

The LORD says to my LORD, “Sit at My right hand until
I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”

Psalm 110 is a prophetic psalm about Jesus.  Verse 1 could be said like this:

The LORD says to Jesus, “Sit at My right hand until
I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”

It is explained in Matthew 22:41-46 and Acts 2:24-26.  The verses in Acts say:

For it was not David who ascended into heaven, but he himself says:
“THE LORD SAID TO MY LORD, ‘SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND, UNTIL
I MAKE YOUR ENEMIES A FOOTSTOOL FOR YOUR FEET.’”
Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both LORD and Christ--this Jesus whom you crucified.

Reread Psalm 110 in thanksgiving to Jesus your LORD then pray verse 3 over yourself and those you love as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, make ________ and me Your people who
volunteer freely in the day of Your power.  Make us go
forth in the splendor of Your holiness, from the
womb of the dawn. Let our young people be to You as the dew.
For the glory of Your name, Jesus~”
