Please read Psalm 112.

Meditate on verse 1.

Praise the LORD!  How blessed is the man who fears the LORD,
who greatly delights in His commandments.

People who fear God and delight in His commandments are blessed:

·      Their descendants are the upright generation (v. 2).
·      Wealth and riches are in their house (v. 3).
·      Light arises in the darkness for them (v. 4).
·      God maintains their cause in judgment (v. 5).
·      They will never be shaken, and they will be remembered forever (v. 6).
·      Their heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD (v. 7).
·      They are not be afraid (v. 8).
·      Their righteousness endures forever; they will be exalted in honor (v. 9).

Pray Psalm 112:1-7 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“Praise the LORD!  Please bless ________ and me as we fear
 You and greatly delight in Your commandments.
 Make our descendants the upright generation;
 bless them and make them mighty on earth.
Let wealth and riches be in our house;
 let our righteousness endure forever.
 Make us gracious, compassionate, righteous;
 let light arise out of darkness for us.
 Let it go well for us when we are gracious
 and generous.  Please maintain our cause in judgment.
 Let us never be shaken; let us be remembered forever.
 Our heart is steadfast, trusting in You, LORD;
we do not fear evil things.
Because of Your name, Jesus~”
