Psalm 107 - Praying God's Word

Please read Psalm 107.

Meditate on verse 43.

Who is wise?  Let him give heed to these things
and consider the lovingkindesses of the LORD.

What an incredible psalm to wisely heed and consider!
·      Wandering in the wilderness, the people cried to the LORD in their trouble, and “He delivered them out of their distresses” (vs. 4-6).
·      Rebelling against God’s Word, imprisoned and miserable, the people cried to the LORD in their trouble, and “He saved them out of their distresses” (vs. 10-13).
·      Afflicted, rebellious fools, the people cried to the LORD in their trouble, and “He saved them from their distresses” (vs. 17-19).
·      At their wits’ end, the people cried to the LORD in their trouble, and “He brought them out of their distresses” (vs. 27-28).

Cry out to the LORD in your trouble with Psalm 107:6, 11, 17, 20, 27, and 29-31 as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, I am crying out to You in our
 trouble on behalf of ________ and me.
Please deliver us out of our distresses!
Forgive us for rebelling against Your Words
 and spurning Your counsel, Most High God.
Forgive us for being rebellious fools afflicted
 in our iniquities.  Please send Your Word and
 heal us and deliver us from our destructions.
LORD, we are reeling and staggering like drunkards;
 we are at our wits’ end.
Please cause the storm to be still,
 so that these waves will be hushed.
We will be glad when they are quiet;
guide us to our desired haven.
We give thanks to You, LORD, for Your
 Lovingkindness and for Your
 wonders to the sons of men!
We extol and praise You in Your name, Jesus~”
