Psalm 108 - Praying God's Word

Please read Psalm 108.

Meditate on verse 1.

My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing,
I will sing praises, even with my soul.

Say these words to the LORD:

“My heart is steadfast, O God.
It is fixed, firmly established, stable, and secure in You.”

As you walk through this day with the LORD, keep those words in mind every time you hear news that would make your heart race with anxiety or pound with fear.  The LORD wants you to trust Him wholeheartedly.  Practice giving Him every concern that comes your way, then joyfully sing with the psalmist these words from Psalm 108:1-6 and 12-13, as His faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“My heart is steadfast, O God;
I will sing, I will sing praises, even with my soul.
Awake harp and lyre; I will awaken the dawn!
I will give thanks to You, O LORD,
among the peoples, and I will sing praises to You among the nations.
For Your lovingkindness is great above the heavens,
and Your truth reaches to the skies.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and Your glory above all the earth.
Please deliver _________ and me, Your beloveds.
Save us with Your right hand and answer us!
Oh, give us help against the adversary,
for deliverance by man is in vain.
Through You, God, we will do valiantly,
and You will tread down our adversaries.
In the power of Your name, Jesus~”
