Romans 8 - Praying God's Word

Please read Romans 8.

Meditate on verses 14-16.

For all who are being led by the
Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
For you have not received a spirit of
slavery, leading to fear again,
but you have received a spirit of adoption
as sons by which we cry out,
 “Abba! Father!”
The Spirit Himself testifies with
our spirit that we are children of God.

One of the greatest gifts of being a Christian is becoming one of God’s children. When Pentecost took place, the Holy Spirit started making Christians (Acts 1-2). They were a new type of creation (James 1:18). Their spiritual DNA changed, and they became new beings—children of God.
As God’s child, you have access to Him. He wants you to draw near to Him. God doesn’t want you to be nervous, but to come boldly to Him (Hebrews 10:19-22). What an incredible privilege you have! You can confidently be in the presence of God, calling Him “Daddy.” Amazing!
Pray Romans 8:26-28, asking the LORD to intercede for you and those you love.

“Holy Spirit, help me in my weakness,
for I do not know how to pray as I should.
Thank You that You intercede for _______ and me
with groanings too deep for words.
LORD, You search hearts and know
what the mind of the Spirit is.
 Please intercede for the saints
according to Your will, God.
We know You cause all things
 to work together for good
to those who love You, to those who
are called according to Your purpose.
Thank You, in Your name, Jesus ~”
