Romans 15 - Praying God's Word

Please read Romans 15.

Meditate on verses 29-30.  Paul is speaking.

“I know that when I come to you, I will come in
the fullness of the blessing of Christ.
Now I urge you, brethren, by our LORD Jesus Christ
and by the love of the Spirit to strive together
with me in your prayers to God for me.”

After visiting Jerusalem, Paul hoped to go to Spain and see the Romans on the way (v. 24). He asked the church in Rome to pray for God’s blessings for his journey. His prayer requests were quite remarkable—consider praying them for your life’s journeys.
Paul wanted to come to the Roman church in the fullness of Christ’s blessing (v. 29). Can you imagine how different your time spent with family and friends would be if you encountered each other in “the fullness of the blessing of Christ” (v. 29)? Ask God to make that happen for you and your loved ones.
Paul desired to be rescued from the disobedient and for his service to prove acceptable to the saints (v. 31). Pray for God to do the same for your family.
Paul wanted his journeys joyful and in God’s will (v. 32). He hoped for refreshing rest in the company of those he loved (v. 32). Pray for time spent with family and friends to be joyful, refreshing, and restful rather than stressful.
Pray Romans 15:29 and 31-33 over visits with your loved ones as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, please let ______ and me visit _______ in the
fullness of the blessing of You, Christ.
Rescue us from those who are disobedient
and let our service prove acceptable to the saints.
Let us come to _______ in joy by Your will, God.
Please let us have refreshing rest in their company.
God of peace be with us.  Amen.”
