Philippians 2 - Praying God's Word

Please read Philippians 2.
www.blueletterbible.org/nasb/phl/2/1/s_1105001
Meditate on verses 1-2.

Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ,
if there is any consolation of love,
if there is any fellowship of the Spirit,
 if any affection and compassion,
make my joy complete by being of the same mind,
maintaining the same love, united in spirit,
 intent on one purpose.
These verses serve as a bridge between Paul’s suffering and the great passage about Jesus pouring Himself out to become a human and die for us (vs. 5-8). Paul’s willingness to suffer for the sake of the Gospel and Jesus’ willingness to die so there would even be a Gospel, bring sobriety to the readers of this letter. Suddenly, life is no longer about pleasing self, but pleasing the One who saves and living for the sake of others.
As you read this letter called Philippians, let it help you get your spiritual bearing. Because of what Jesus did for you, your attitudes and behaviors ought to line up with His expectations. The life of Jesus and the presence of the Holy Spirit among you should produce supernatural, God-glorifying effects in you and your church.
Take some time to go slowly through the qualities listed in Philippians 2:1-2, meditating on them with God. Pray for God to help you and your loved ones live these qualities as a Godly community of faith.
Pray Philippians 2:1-2 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD Jesus, encourage _______ and me
and console us with Your love.
Spirit, fellowship with us and our Church.
LORD, make us affectionate and compassionate.
Make our joy complete by making us of the same mind,
maintaining the same love, united in spirit,
 and intent on one purpose—
 Your purpose, LORD Jesus~”
