Please read Nehemiah 13.

Meditate on verse 14.
Remember me for this, O my God, and do
not blot out my loyal deeds
which I have performed for the
house of my God and its services.
As God’s Word was read, the people recognized sin that was being casually ignored and blatantly tolerated. Tobiah, an Ammonite and enemy of the Jews (Nehemiah 2:10; 6:1), was even given a room in the temple by Eliashib the priest (vs. 4-5). Unbelievable! Upon learning about such atrocities in the house of God, Nehemiah unapologetically threw out all of Tobiah’s stuff and had the room cleansed of the impurity caused by allowing a heathen to live there (v. 8).
You live in a day when Nehemiah’s bold actions for the sake of God’s holiness would be decried as intolerant. Some places of worship are so seeker-friendly it is difficult to distinguish between the church (those who believe in Christ as the only source of eternal salvation) and those who are actually enemies of Christ, yet have slipped into the pews, not for the purpose of obtaining eternal life, but to revile the things of God (Jude 1:4-23).
Pray for the courage of Nehemiah to stand firm on God’s Word and take action according to God’s holiness. Pray Nehemiah 13:14, 22, and 31 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“Remember _________ and me for this, O my God, and
do not blot out our loyal deeds which
we have performed for Your house and its services.
Help us teach others to purify themselves according
to Your commands. For this also remember us,
O my God, and have compassion on us according
to the greatness of Your lovingkindness.
Remember us, O my God, for good.
In Your name, Jesus~”
