Ecclesiastes 9 - Praying God's Word

Please read Ecclesiastes 9.

Meditate on verse 1.

For I have taken all this to my heart
and explain it that righteous men, wise men,
and their deeds are in the hand of God.
Man does not know whether it will be love
or hatred; anything awaits him.

Solomon understood his life was in God’s hands. Knowing this truth helps you walk through your day with its good and bad, highs and lows. It helps you walk confidently in God and His ability to take you through life on earth into eternity with Him.
Whether you are in a pleasant or painful season of life, entrust your soul to the faithful Creator in doing what is right (1 Peter 4:19). Fix your eyes on eternity with Jesus and do not lose heart in doing good, for in due time, you will reap if you do not grow weary (Galatians 6:9).
Pray Ecclesiastes 9:1 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, make ________ and me righteous and wise.
Keep our deeds and us in Your hand.
We do not know whether love or hatred awaits us,
but we trust in You.
Because of Your name, Jesus~”
