Ecclesiastes 8 - Praying God's Word

Please read Ecclesiastes 8.

Meditate on verses 12-13.

Although a sinner does evil a hundred
times and may lengthen his life,
still I know that it will be well for those
who fear God, who fear Him openly.
But it will not be well for the evil man,
and he will not lengthen his days like
a shadow because he does not fear God.

Do not grow weary and lose heart as you fear God and serve Him whole- heartedly. There may be times when it appears futile to be sold-out for God, but press on in the LORD; fight the good fight and finish the race God has called you to run with Him. The reward of running with Christ and intimately knowing Him is so worth it.

Say to the righteous that it will go well with them,
for they will eat the fruit of their actions.
Woe to the wicked!  It will go badly with him,
for what he deserves will be done to him.
—Isaiah 3:10-11

Pray Ecclesiastes 8:12-13 over yourself and those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, let it be well for _______ and me as we fear You.
Let us fear You openly.
LORD, make __________ stop being evil—it is not going well for them.
Make them fear You, so their days can lengthen like a shadow.
In Your name that is to be feared, Jesus~”
