Please read Philippians 1.
Meditate on this phrase from verse 19.
…Prayers and the
provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ…
I have been praying Philippians 1:3-6, 9-11 over my husband
and children for at least twenty-five years.
Today, as I read Philippians 1, God has given me more treasures to
pray. I am captivated by the phrase in
verse 19, “the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.” Keeping the phrase in context, I read that
Paul knew he would be delivered, and it would come through the prayers of the
believers at Philippi and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
Paul was imprisoned in Rome when he wrote this letter, and
he needed help. He never talked about
trying to hire the best lawyer in Italy to come to his defense. He knew Who would provide for him. And, he knew that the prayers of the faithful
were key to unlocking the provision of the Spirit.
DO NOT be lazy in your prayer life! Like Paul, your loved ones desperately need a
faithful, prayerful watchman. A watchman
who “all day and all night will never keep silent. You who remind the LORD, take no rest for
yourselves and give Him no rest until He establishes (Isaiah 62:6-7)…”
Find verses to pray over those for whom you are standing
guard from Philippians 1.
As a faithful watchman also pray Philippians 1:19, 22, 27.
“LORD, please give
__________ and me
the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
so we will be involved
in fruitful labor.
Jesus, help us conduct
ourselves in a manner worthy of Your Gospel.
In Your name, Jesus~”
