2 Corinthians 13 ~ Praying Scripture

Please read 2 Corinthians 13.
Meditate on verse 5.

Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith;
examine yourselves!
Or do you not recognize this about yourselves,
 that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?

Paul was planning to visit the church at Corinth for a third time.  They needed to grow up in Christ.  Paul did not want to use severity when he came to Corinth, but he would spare no one if sin continued to abound in this church (2 Corinthians 13:2, 10).  Paul commanded each member to examine themselves to make sure they were really believers. They should not be abiding in sin if they were abiding in Christ.

Proof of being a Christian is Christ in you.  As a believer, you abide in Christ rather than remaining in the sins of your old life.  God exhorts you.  Examine yourself!  Is Christ in you?  Does Jesus define who you are or does sin define you?

Pray 2 Corinthians 13:11 over yourself and those for whom you are standing guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“Lord, in You let ____________ and I rejoice, be made complete,
be comforted, be like-minded, and live in peace.
God of love and peace be with us.
In Your Name, Jesus~”
