Please read Romans 4.
Meditate on verses 18-21.
In hope against hope he believed,
so that he might become a father
of many nations
according to that which had been spoken,
“So shall your descendants
be.”
Without becoming weak in faith,
he contemplated his own body,
now as good as dead since he was
about a hundred years old,
and the deadness of Sarah’s womb;
yet with respect to the promise of God,
he did not waver in unbelief
but grew strong in faith giving glory to God,
and being fully assured that what God had promised,
He was able also to perform.
What do you believe God for? Are you waiting for something or someone God
has promised? Your human reason for hoping is gone, yet you are hoping in
faith.
Abraham did not waver in unbelief when it came to the
promises of God. While he waited for God
to fulfill His promises, Abraham grew stronger in faith. Abraham’s growth gave glory to God.
Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews
11:6). Do not grow weary and lose heart
(Hebrews 12:3). The LORD has called you
to be a watchman for someone. There is
at least one person in your life who appears hopeless. God calls you to grow strong in faith for
them, to be fully assured that what God has promised He is able to perform. God calls you to pray without ceasing for Him
to establish their hearts without blame in holiness (1 Thessalonians 3:13).
Pray Romans 4:17 over the person for whom God has called you
to be a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“LORD, You give life
to the dead and call into being that which does not exist.
Please give spiritual
life to __________________.
Let them exist and
have their being in You.
In Your Name, Jesus~”
