Romans 3 ~ Praying Scripture

Please read Romans 3.
Meditate on verses 23 – 24.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
being justified as a gift by His grace
through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus.

Try to wrap your mind around salvation.  God’s Word says, “There is none righteous, not even one; there is none who understands, there is none who seeks for God.  All have turned aside, together they have become useless; there is none who does good, there is not even one.  Their throat is an open grave; with their tongues they keep deceiving.  The poison of asps is under their lips; whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; destruction and misery are in their paths, and the path of peace they have not known.  There is no fear of God before their eyes (Romans 3:10-18).”

That is the description of the people Jesus came to save.  That is the description of you apart from Jesus. That is the description of every single life separate from the gift of God’s grace through the redemption in Christ Jesus.  Amazing... absolutely amazing!  If God Himself had not said it, it would be unbelievable.   Why?  Why would the God of the Universe love you so much to offer you the gift of Himself?  Why would any human refuse the gift of God’s grace, and why would anyone boast in themselves once they have received it?

Pray Romans 3:24-26 over yourself and those for whom God has appointed you a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7).

“LORD, thank You for demonstrating Your righteousness
by passing over my sins previously committed.
You are the justifier of all who have faith in You, Jesus.
Please draw ______________ to Your gift of grace.
In Your Name, Jesus~”
