Isaiah 45 ~ Praying Scripture

Please read Isaiah 45.
Meditate on verse 5.

I am the LORD, and there is no other;
Besides Me there is no God.

God is talking to Cyrus in this chapter.  The LORD tells Cyrus that He calls him by name.  Anything Cyrus has was given to him by God.  The things Cyrus will do are because the LORD has taken Cyrus by the right hand to do exactly what God desires.

The LORD has Isaiah pen all these words concerning King Cyrus the Great of Persia 175 years before Cyrus was born.  Cyrus will conquer Babylon where the Israelites have been in exile for 70 years.  He will issue the decree for the Israelites to return to Israel and rebuild the temple (2 Chronicles 36:22-23).

Cyrus the great pagan king of Persia who did not know God (Isaiah 45:4) was an instrument in the hand of Almighty God because God is the LORD, and there is no other.  The LORD Who is still forming light and creating darkness (Isaiah 45:7) is sovereign and in control, and His plans and purposes will come to pass.

Pray Isaiah 45:21-24 over those who need to bow the knee to Almighty God.

“You are the LORD.  There is no God besides You.
You are a righteous God and a Savior; there is none except You.
Please let __________ turn to You, for You are God, and there is no other.
Your Word has gone forth from Your mouth in righteousness and will not turn back.  Let ___________ bow their knee and swear allegiance to you.
Let them say, ‘Only in the LORD are righteousness and strength.’
In Your Name, Jesus~”
