Isaiah 28 ~ Praying Scripture

Please read Isaiah 28.
Meditate on verse 15.

Because you have said, “We have made a covenant with death,
and with Sheol we have made a pact.
The overwhelming scourge will not reach us when it passes by,
for we have made falsehood our refuge
and we have concealed ourselves with deception.”

This is a powerful chapter from God’s Word!  God is addressing people who in their pride have made covenants with death instead of the God of Life.  They are deceived and full of lies; they think they will escape God’s judgment. They are so overcome with wine and strong drink they are reeling, and their tables are full of filthy vomit without a single clean place.

Do you get the picture?  Without being in a saving covenant relationship with Jesus Christ, your life is nothing more than confusing, staggering, and vomit filled.  Why would anyone choose to make a covenant with death when God offers everyone eternal LIFE through Christ Jesus our LORD?

Unceasingly pray Isaiah 28:21, 26, and 29, as the watchman God has appointed you to be (Isaiah 62:6-7), for those who have made a covenant with death and desperately need to make a covenant with LIFE.

“LORD of hosts, Your counsel is wonderful,
and Your wisdom is great.
Please instruct and teach ____________ properly.
Work Your work, Your extraordinary work in their life.
In the Name of Jesus~”
