Isaiah 40 ~ Praying Scripture

Please read Isaiah 40.
Meditate on and memorize verse 31.

Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles;
they will run and not get tired;
they will walk and not become weary.

I’ll never forget the first time I watched eagles soaring.  These powerful birds do not soar on their own strength; they spread their wings and ride thermals upwards.  They don’t have to beat their wings at all; they are effortlessly lifted heavenward as they trust in another source of power instead of their own.  What a perfect comparison God gives us!  Honestly, we are not going to accomplish anything on our own strength, but when we soar on the strength of the Creator of the Universe and the Resurrector of the Dead, we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength (Philippians 4:13).

Pray Isaiah 40:31 over yourself and those you love.

“LORD, let my family always wait for and trust in You.
Thank you that as we do, we will gain new strength;
we will mount up with wings like eagles;
we will run and not get tired;
we will walk and not become weary.
In Your strong name, Jesus~”
