Isaiah 42 ~ Praying Scripture

Please read Isaiah 42.
Meditate on verses 8-9.

I am the LORD, that is My name;
I will not give My glory to another;
Nor My praise to graven images.
Behold, the former things have come to pass.
Now I declare new things;
Before they spring forth I proclaim them to you.

This chapter begins with prophecies of the LORD’s Servant coming and establishing justice on the earth and being a covenant to the people and a light to the nations.

Aren’t you thankful for Jesus!  He accomplishes and provides EVERYTHING we need.

The LORD addresses Israel and others who have sinned against the LORD and refused to walk in His way.  The LORD says He will not leave them undone (Isaiah 42:16).

Pray Isaiah 42:16 over yourself and others who still need the LORD to finish them.

“LORD, thank You for Your Word
 which says You will lead the blind
by a way we do not know,
in paths we do not know You will guide us.
You will make darkness into light before us
and rugged places into plains.
Thank You that You do not leave us undone.
For the sake of Your glory and praise, Jesus~”

(For those of us who are praying specifically today for the release of prisoners, pray Isaiah 42:7 ~ “LORD, open blind eyes to bring our prisoners from the dungeon and those who dwell in darkness from the prison. For Your Glory’s sake, Jesus~”)
