Isaiah 32 ~ Praying Scripture

Please read Isaiah 32.

Meditate on verse 17.

And the work of righteousness will be peace,

and the service of righteousness,

quietness and confidence forever.

Isaiah 32 describes the desolate wilderness that Jerusalem had become.  Her only hope was for the Spirit to be poured out on the people.  This is the description of our lives without the Holy Spirit, an abandoned, forsaken wilderness.

When the Spirit is poured out upon you, your wilderness of a life becomes a fertile field, and the fertile field is considered as a forest.  Justice and righteousness will dwell in you bringing peace, quietness, and confidence forever.

Being in a saving relationship with Jesus Christ is amazing!  Why would anyone want to remain in their wilderness?

Pray Isaiah 32:3-4 over those for whom you are a faithful, prayerful watchman (Isaiah 62:6-7) and who need the Spirit poured out in their lives.

“LORD, pour Your Spirit upon ________________.

Let their eyes not be blinded and let their ears listen.

Let their hasty mind discern the truth

and their stammering tongue hasten to speak clearly.
