Please read Hosea 13.

Meditate on verses 14.
Shall I ransom them from the power of Sheol?
Shall I redeem them from death?
O Death, where are your thorns?
O Sheol, where is your sting?
Compassion will be hidden from My sight.
Because the
LORD is so loving and gracious, it is often hard to see Him imposing justice.
As a New Testament believer, you function in a Kingdom marked by merciful and
graceful forgiveness from God and a resulting relationship with Him. That
relationship is the result of satisfied justice. The execution of Jesus on the
altar of the cross became the sacrifice needed to justify believers before God.
Judgment is
coming for those who are not in Christ. Their situation is dire. Their future
is tied to a certain end—unless—unless—unless they turn from their sin and give
their lives to Jesus as their Savior and LORD. If you do not know Jesus as your
Savior and you would like to, then find a Christian who can help you. If you do
not have anyone in your life to help, write to us at GodsGreaterGrace.com, and
we will help you.
Paul quoted
part of Hosea 13:14 in I Corinthians 15:55: “O Death, where is your victory? O
Death where is your sting?” He was celebrating that the power of the Law and
death are removed in Christ Jesus. This is the goal of your prayers, believers.
Pray for God’s victory in the life of those you love who do not know Jesus as
their Savior.
Pray Hosea
13:14 over those for whom you stand guard as a faithful, prayerful watchman
(Isaiah 62:6-7).
LORD,
please ransom _______ from the power of Sheol.
Redeem them from death.
Help them to know You,
so they
will not know the thorns of death and the sting of Sheol.
May they
have compassion in Your sight.
In Your
name, Jesus~”
