Habakuk 3 - Praying God's Word

Please read Habakkuk 3.

Meditate on verse 2.

LORD, I have heard the report about You, and I fear.
LORD, revive Your work in the midst of the years.
In the midst of the years, make it known;
in wrath remember mercy.

You may have somebody for whom you have been praying a long time. A man once told me his wife prayed for 16 years for him to come to know Christ. He is a follower of Jesus now and a wonderful example of God making His work known in a person. Thankfully, his wife did not grow weary in prayer. Cry out for God to revive His work in the midst of those you love. Ask God to make His work known in the lives of those you love. Beg Him to show them mercy even though they may be experiencing His wrath.
Pray Habakkuk 3:2 and 17-19 as a faithful, prayerful watchman over those you stand guard (Isaiah 62:6-7).
“LORD, revive Your work in the midst of ________.

In the midst of their years, make Your work known.

In wrath remember mercy.
Though it does not yet;
I wait for the fig tree to blossom in their lives
and for there to be fruit on their vines.
 Please do not let the yield of their olive tree fail.
 Let the fields of their lives produce food.
 Do not cut off their flock from the fold.
 May there be cattle in their stalls.

As I wait, I will exult in You, LORD.
 I will rejoice in You, God of my salvation.
LORD God, You are my strength.
You have made my feet like hinds’ feet,

and You make me walk on the high places.
Please do the same for _________.
In Your name, Jesus~”
